Willowbrook Zoo

Today Stephie enjoyed an hour-long springtime walk in nearby Willowbrook Zoo. Tomorrow's forecast is for an even warmer 60 degrees!Later, Stephie had some extremely scream-worthy dinner with Mommy and Daddy.

First signs of spring

Stephie enjoyed the first breath of spring weather this weekend. Daddy took her and Brie on a 45 minute walk around Lake Ellyn yesterday, and today she even took a brief spin in the bucket swing. Wheeee! Teeth #5 and #6 (both top lateral incisors) also made their appearances this weekend.

Doesn't Stephie look adorable in the fisherman's sweater that Aunt Connie made for her? Brie thinks that the buttockal region smells particularly tasty.

High class humor

Stephie figured out to make the ever-so-classy raspberry farting noise with her tongue. The endless farting noises around the house have now forever cured Mommy of any love of potty humor.

Wii, Wii, Wii, Wii, all the way home.

Stephie has been helping Grandpa John with his recovery from his back surgery by cheering him on in lots of Wii games. Stephie is more interested in eating the remote, of course, but Grandpa has been getting quite good at the games and is up for any visitors to take him on!

One toy for me, one toy for the floor...

Stephie figured out how to open up her bins downstairs...and the best part, empty them of all their toys. Next up: learning how to put all the toys back! Dream, on, Mommy!
Also, today Stephie played with another buddy Sam who is 3 1/2 years old.

Up, up, and away!

Stephie is becoming increasingly good at climbing up the stairs, though Mommy and Daddy are not such big fans of her attempted backward suicide flails back down them!

Stephie's early birthday present

Mommy and Daddy ordered Stephie a Pottery Barn Kids Anywhere Chair as an early first birthday present. It is just the right size for Stephie, and a lot of her friends give it their highest ratings.
