The Music Maker

In addition to five hours of napping today (Benadryl sure is sedating!), Stephie had a great time at her Music Together class. This semester's theme is the "Triangle Collection," but there are lots of other fun instruments to play with too.

Swine flu???

Despite a variety of recent viral illnesses and rashes too over the past few days (we're pretty sure that it is not, in fact, the dreaded swine flu!), Stephie has still managed to have quite a bit of fun. Yesterday brought an adventure at the mall with a high school orchestra and chorus (how fun to clap along!)......and today Sam came over for some play-time and helped make sure that Stephie's cart was in good working order. Thanks, Sam!

G. M. Weber

We moved Stephie's great-great-grandpa George Weber's trunk downstairs into the living room for Stephie to use as a toy box. Grandma Julie spent many, many hours sanding and refinishing this trunk for Mommy about ten years ago. We're thrilled to have such a great use for it now!

"Hey Mom, where are all my toys?""Oh, maybe they're in here!"
"If only someone could help me look...""Oh no, that back-fired!"

There's a new dog in town...

Mommy's new 'do

Mommy went a little bit crazy at the hair salon this afternoon and said goodbye to her curly locks with a "Japanese hair straightening" treatment...how un-PC! Stephie wasn't feeling the best today, so it's hard to say if her lack of enthusiasm for Mommy's new hairdo was sincere.

The best Saturday EVER!

Stephie spent the morning hanging out with Daddy, Grandpa Don, Grandma Michelle, and Grandpa Roger while Mommy was at work stamping out skin cancer, one free screening at a time.Stephie came to visit Mommy at work! Check out the wall of Stephie on Mommy's desk.Grandpa John treated every one to ice cream at the local Bells and Whistles Snackery. Stephie ate half of Mommy's apple pie ice cream. We had dinner at Udupi Palace where we discovered Stephie's favorite new food: raita! Boy, it's tasty!Stephie also has a new favorite game: empty out the diaper bag as fast as possible while Grandpa Don fills it back up. What fun!Can every day be a weekend day?!?

Backyard fun

Stephie was sporting some extra summery clothing today in celebration of the amazing warm weather. Hanging out in the backyard is so much more fun when there are so many grandparents around!

It is so nice to sit outside on a blankie on a nice, warm, sunny spring day......except when you have to wear your hood which makes you SO MAD!

Exploring the library

The library is a great place to spend a rainy day! There are lots of holiday left-overs including Easter eggs......and bunnies......and even a Thanksgiving turkey!?!Best of all, there are lots and lots of aisles to practice Stephie's newfound walking skills.

Pullen Park

Today we visited Pullen Park in Raleigh where Stephie and Ally each experienced two firsts: a train ride AND a carousel ride. It was the best $2 we've spent in a really long time!As usual, the girls thoroughly enjoyed their time on the bucket swings as well. Wheeee!
