The Big Green Egg

Daddy's Egg arrived today, and we enjoyed the first of many grilled meals for dinner tonight. Stephie expressed her support for an Illinois presidential candidate by wearing her new onesie.

Indian Princess

Stephie got all dressed up today in her beautiful outfit from Aunt Stephanie from India. She also got to meet Uncle David for the first time.

Stephie's New Room

Stephie was the first one in the family to be fully unpacked in the new house. She was also the youngest member of the family to show off her latest investment: Disney stock!

Moving Day

The POD arrived, the movers came and went, and now Mommy and Daddy are VERY busy unpacking all of our things. We met several of our neighbors today (one of whom even brought us cookies as we were unpacking)! We also walked up to Lake Ellyn Park where they were having the annual cardboard boat regatta. Ed enjoyed watching a giant cardboard Trojan Horse capsize in the lake. It was a nice lunch break from the craziness of moving and unpacking. Thanks to help from Grandpa Allen, Grandma Julie, and Grandpa John, we got about 50% unpacked today, the internet and t.v. working, and the kitchen almost completely done. It was a busy day, but very happy and very exciting for us.

Baby Einstein

Dinner at Momo's

Stephie didn't get to have any tapas, but the rest of us enjoyed the Greek cuisine at Momo's for dinner tonight. Soon, Stephie, just a few more months!

Stephie and the Busy Bee

Stephie laughed at a toy for the first time today. The Busy Bee vibrates as it flies to its flower which was apparently very funny! She laughed at it four times in a row. Over the past two weeks, Stephie has really woken up to the world, focusing more on objects in the distance and staying awake for LONG periods of time. So cute!

Newsflash: Youngest reader ever!

Stephie officially joined the Guinness Book today by becoming the youngest baby ever to read a newspaper. Grandma Julie helped a little bit. She rounded out the day by hanging out in the Bumbo for a while.

Race for the Cure

Stephie and Brie had a great time at Stephie's very first Komen Race for the Cure. There were some happy times...

Brie was a much-admired pink doggie and got her photo taken approximately 100 times by various groups of adoring fans. (In case you were wondering, we did it with pink KoolAid, and no, we have no idea if it will wash out, but at least she has a delicious cherry-watermelon scent!)...

Brie and Stephie even made a tortise friend along the way.

We ended the day with a visit to Grandma Haley on our way back home.

Stephie went to the Soulard Coffee Garden today with Grandma Michele, her friend Christine, and 4-month old Harper. Stephie's future first boyfriend???

The many hats of Baby Stephie

Stephie had a good time at the zoo yesterday. Activities including trying on silly hats and hanging out with the fishies! As you can tell, Stephie was quite alert throughout her visit.

Weight gain update

No new pictures today (but DOUBLE pictures tomorrow, promise!), but a weight-gain update: at 3 months old, Stephie now weighs 14 pounds 3 ounces, which places her in the 91st percentile. Whoa, baby!

Big news! Grandpa Don taught Stephie to drive the forklift today! She drove it right over to the botanical gardens to check out the day-lillies in bloom.
