My Little Word Book
Lately Stephie's speech development has taken off like crazy! To encourage her growth, we spend lots of time with the My Little Word Book identifying objects by name.
As usual, there is a lot of clapping.

Danada Equestrian Festival
Yesterday we went to the nearby Danada Equestrian Festival to check out the horsies. First we saw a Shetland pony...
...but there was lots of other fun stuff to do too, like draw with sidewalk chalk.

Gail's Pumpkin Patch
Today we took a spontaneous trip to meet Mimi and Faux Pas for lunch and some pumpkin fun in central Illinois. After eating at the Country Aire diner (the only restaurant within miles!)...
...we visited Gail's Pumpkin Patch. It was a hit! Stephie first navigated the "kiddie maze" and even knew to duck her head in the tunnels.
Stephie clapped for herself on the way out.
Stephie liked showing off her warty pumpkin. The pumpkin sugar cookie was also mighty tasty.
Instead of a sand box, theirs was filled with corn kernels. There was also a soybean box, but boy, those were slippery!
Uh oh, where are Stephie's legs?
Stephie even took a train ride.

What's new in this picture?
The bib? the shirt? The endless supply of food?
No! It's Stephie sitting at the table like a big girl! Go, Stephie!
Also, Stephie went to her pediatrician today. She now clocks in at 33 5/8 inches tall and 26 pounds 15 ounces, which keeps her in the 91% for height, 80% for weight, and 98% for head. Big girl!

Dressed for the season?
It has turned a bit cold outside, so Stephie and Bingo modeled her newest hat from Mommy. Now if we can only convince her to wear some clothes with it!
