Easy on the nose

Stephie has a perpetual case of the sniffles lately, leading Mommy to buy Kleenex in bulk. Kleenex boxes make great blocks......and are really funny too!

After-dinner walk

Stephie, sporting a stylin' new swacket from Aunt Berta, went on an after-dinner walk tonight with Mommy, Daddy, and Brie. Though there was a chill in the air, Stephie was insistent that she carry her hat instead of wear it on her head. OK, Stephie, whatever makes you happy!

An early birthday celebration

Before Aunt Stephanie jetted back to D.C. this afternoon, we held an early mini-birthday party for Grandma Julie. The big day is still 3 days away, but it gave Stephie an excuse to sample another flavor of birthday cake. This one was carrot; Stephie thought it was of course very tasty!

Daddy on duty!

Mommy was busy ALL DAY today with work and then Sisters' Weekend downtown, so Daddy took over on Stephie duty. Stephie learned how to do all kids of manly things like shop at Ace Hardware with Daddy, frisbee golf with Daddy and Grallen, and eat big manly calzones for dinner. Fun!

Lincoln Park Zoo

We kicked off "Sisters' Weekend '09" today with a trip to Lincoln Park Zoo in downtown Chicago. Here is Stephie with three of the four sisters:Pretty flowers in the conservatory:Mommy sure is funny with her pink hat!Wheeee! Even better than walking between two people is flying!

One hand only, please!

Little Miss Independent LOVES to walk...with as little assistance as possible.
While Stephie used to like walking holding on to both hands, now it's one hand only, please!
"Don't try to grab my other hand, Mommy. I'll get SO MAD at you!"
